Ray Charles è il nome d'arte di Charles Raymond Offenberg (nato il 13 settembre 1918 a Chicago, Illinois), un musicista, cantautore e direttore vocale americano. È meglio conosciuto per una serie di album di dischi di facile ascolto che ha prodotto negli anni '50 e '60 come Ray Charles Singers. Questo gruppo vocale ha anche cantato come backup nella maggior parte delle registrazioni di Perry Como dal 1950 al 1987, e anche Charles ei suoi cantanti sono apparsi con Como nelle sue esibizioni dal vivo e in televisione. I Ray Charles Singers (con Charles in primo piano come cantante maschile) hanno cantato la sigla della serie televisiva Three's Company ("Come and Knock on Our Door").
